The Adirondack USBC story...
Representatives of the Glens Falls Bowling Association, Glens Falls Women's Bowling Association, Saratoga Springs Women's Bowling Association, and Glens Falls Area Youth Association met in the fall of 2010 to discuss merging. Three subsequent meetings were held to finalize the many details of a tentative budget and by-laws. On May 22 2011, an open meeting was held where the purposes of merging were discussed. The body voted to approve the merger, by-laws, and budget. Then elections were held. Immediately after that meeting, a Board meeting was held to select a President and Vice President and to hire an association manager and establish committees. Over the summer, the former organizations were dissolved and the Adirondack USBC was chartered and incorporated to service the roughly 3,000 certified adult and youth members bowling in the then 11 centers (190 lanes) in its jurisdiction that spans a geographic area including Ticonderoga, Lake George, Granville, Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward, Saratoga and Mineville.
The Adirondack USBC Board, staff, and volunteers look forward to hosting successful Open, Womens, and Youth Tournaments in the current season.
